PLAY AND GROW 

Come and share your morning with other parents with young children every Wednesday and Thursday at Kyabra or every Tuesday at Richlands Community Centre.  This is a facilitated group, with creative activities and learning opportunities offered free of charge. 

PARENT TRAIL ONE TERM 2 2019

This is a 10 week course offered during Term 2 at Kyabra in Runcorn.

Held on Tuesdays - 23rd April to 25th June  2019 10:00 am - 12:30 pm each session. 

This group will offer parents the opportunity to:

  • Hear and share other peoples stories of parenting

  • Receive input and reflections from a group

  • Use art, creative writing, music and discussion

  • Explore your parental picture and enhance your particular style of  parenting

  • Create a personal safety first aid kit for you and your family Join with others to have fun and relax

BRINGING UP GREAT KIDS

 "The ‘Bringing Up Great Kids’ Program is a group parenting program developed by the Australian Childhood Foundation for a wide range of parents including those who might be considered vulnerable or ‘at risk’.

First session: Each Wednesday 22nd May to Wednesday 26th June 2019, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm

CIRCLE OF SECURITY

From the moment children are born, they are doing their best to communicate their needs. Circle of Security helps us understand our children's needs. A safe place to explore and support our parenting.

This is a FREE 7 week group that allows us a way to understand how we relate to our children and understanding what it means to be a "good enough" parent.

Runcorn Daytime - Monday 13th May to Monday 24th June, 10am to 12pm

or

Runcorn Evening - Thursday 2nd May to Thursday 13th June 6pm to 8pm

NURTURED HEART APPROACH

Nurtured Heart is a simple framework which nurtures and grows a child's positive sense of self. All children who have been introduced to this approach flourish and learn to appreciate what is great about them.

YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID

Mental Health First Aid is the help provided to a person who is developing a mental health problem, or who is in a mental health crisis, until appropriate professional treatment is received or the crisis resolves.

This course is open for all members of the community who are supporting a loved one with a mental health concern.

Saturday 18th May 2019 and Saturday 25th May 2019

9:00am to 4:30pm

Participants must attend both days in May to complete the course and receive a certificate.
