Welcome to our Garden

Kyabra Street Community Garden

The Kyabra Street Community Garden is located at the rear of Kyabra Community Association's carpark.

The group's vision is for a place where the land, gardens, people and animals are all cared for and where we work together to promote cooperation, learning, friendship, fun, fairness and hope amongst one another.

We are involved in:

1.        Community Building: Activities that build and promote cooperation, learning, friendships, fun and hope amongst people

2.      Environmental care and sustainability:  Activities that ensure that the land, gardens, people and animals at Kyabra are all cared for and which promote an understanding of our dependence on our natural environment.

3.       Learning and sharing opportunities: we learn from each other, work as a team and respect every person's contribution to the group.

The Gardens Group holds working bees on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 8.30am-12noon, weather permitting.  All Welcome - No experience necessary.

Donations of used tools, plants and lawn clippings would help our community gardeners.

If you would like to find out more, join the group or support the work of the Gardens Group, please contact John on 0412 058 701 or email kingpin012@optusnet.com.au
